Ionic capital column

An Ionic capital column is a polyurethane decorative column whose shaft follows the Ionic order and whose capital carries scroll (volute) ornaments curling to each side. It reflects the Ionic style among the classical architectural orders and is used as a vertical decorative element in living rooms, entrance halls and openings. It consists of shaft, base and Ionic capital pieces. The polyurethane material is light and installs with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being far lighter than a stone equivalent, it is easy to carry and installs quickly. Because it is mould-cast, the volute scrolls repeat exactly across every piece. Polure produces Ionic capital columns in a range of diameters and heights.
