Office building architecture is a design approach addressing the facade and interior layout of office and commercial buildings; within this scope, decorative polyurethane elements such as mouldings, cornices, columns and string courses are applied to facade and interior surfaces. On the facade they are used for window framing and floor-line emphasis, and indoors for classic ornamentation in entrance and lobby areas. The polyurethane elements used in these applications are light and apply with mounting adhesive; they resist moisture, frost and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone and concrete, they place no load on the structure and install quickly. Because they are mould-cast, the details repeat across every piece.
