The shell motif crest is a polyurethane decorative crest element with a fan-shaped shell ornament across its upper section. It is used as a top accent above doors, windows and furniture, and on mirror and panel frames. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is applied with mounting adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than its plaster equivalent, it is easy to install at high points, and unlike wood it is not affected by moisture.
