under-beam bracket

An under-beam bracket is an inclined support-form polyurethane decorative element placed on the underside of a beam or at the beam-wall junction. In classical and rustic interiors it is placed beneath decorative beams to create the appearance of a bracket supporting the beam. With its diagonal or elbow form it provides a visual load-bearing emphasis. Polyurethane is lightweight and applied to the surface with mounting adhesive and screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and is paintable. Being much lighter than a wooden bracket, installation is fast and no additional load-bearing support is required. Being mould-cast, the bracket profile repeats identically on every piece.
