Beam End Cap

A beam end cap is a polyurethane decorative element used to cover the exposed end sections of ceiling or roof beams. It is fitted so that open beam ends gain a neat, finished appearance, and it is used in interior faux wood beam installations as well as in exterior eaves detailing. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Unlike wood, it does not rot, attract insects or change shape when it absorbs moisture. Because it is mould-produced, the profile and details repeat identically on every piece, which ensures dimensional consistency in repeated installations. Polure produces the beam end cap with size options suited to different beam sections.
