A classical decorative motif is a single ornamental element used in classical architecture; it refers to a surface-applied decorative piece such as a rosette, medallion, relief flower or leaf. It is used as an accent at the center of a ceiling rose, on over-door panels and at the midpoints of wall frames. It is mould-cast from polyurethane; the material is lightweight and applied directly with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted.
