classic column crown

A classic column crown is the polyurethane part at the very top of a classical column that finishes the shaft and gives the look of an ornamented capital. It forms the crowned upper section of the column capital; in classical orders it is decorated with motifs such as acanthus leaves and volutes. It is used as the upper finish in decorative column applications both indoors and outdoors. The polyurethane material is light and applied with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster or wood, installation at height becomes easier. Because it is mould-cast, the leaf and scroll details repeat identically on every piece.
