A corner pilaster capital is a polyurethane capital element that completes the upper end of a half- or quarter-bodied pilaster applied at a wall corner. As the transition piece connecting the corner pilaster shaft to the ceiling or cornice line, it gives a classical look. It sits on top of the pilaster shaft and is fixed with construction adhesive. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone and plaster capitals makes corner installation easy and adds no extra load to the wall.
