Polyurethane Pilaster Capital with Acanthus Leaf Relief

The P5040CP architectural capital serves as a premium decorative crowning element for flat columns and pilasters, introducing an authentic classical aesthetic to modern and traditional structures alike. Specifically engineered to cap vertical wall elements, this component bridges the transition between columns and ceilings or architraves. Its robust structural design provides an imposing architectural presence, turning plain structural pilasters into highly detailed artistic focal points.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polyurethane (150-220 kg/m³), this capital offers the look and tactile density of traditional carved wood or plaster without the associated weight or fragility. Measuring 200 mm in depth, 723 mm in width, and 557 mm in height, its substantial dimensions make it ideal for grand-scale residential and commercial projects. The closed-cell material composition yields less than one percent water absorption, ensuring the component remains entirely stable against rot, warping, cracking, or moisture damage.

Visually, the P5040CP features meticulously detailed carvings inspired by classical Corinthian and Ionic orders. Symmetrical acanthus leaves rise from the base, giving way to elegant volute scrolls at the top corners. A prominent central floral rosette acts as a central focal point, adding sculptural depth and shadow play. The factory-applied primer coat provides a smooth surface that optimizes paint adhesion, although applying a compatible primer prior to final coating is recommended to meet specific paint manufacturer warranties.

This versatile architectural capital is highly adaptable for both interior luxury spaces and exterior facades. It is frequently specified for grand building entrances, main lobby designs, hotel reception areas, and luxury villa facades. Because dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, it performs exceptionally well on outdoor pilasters when coated with a high-quality, UV-resistant paint to prevent yellowing.

Compared to heavy plaster or stone, this polyurethane alternative drastically simplifies installation while reducing overall structural load. It can be easily cut, sanded, and secured using a high-quality polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesive paired with mechanical screws for permanent stability. This combination of classical design precision and modern material performance makes the P5040CP the preferred choice for architects, restoration experts, and premium interior designers across Europe.
