A neoclassical building ornament is a decorative element applied to a building's facade or interior surface in the neoclassical style. It consists of pieces such as surrounds, string courses, columns, pilasters, cornices or pediments, giving the structure a symmetric, framed look. When this ornament is made of polyurethane, the material is light; it withstands moisture, sun and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone or concrete, it adds no extra load to the structure and installation is faster using adhesive together with fixing.
