Neoclassical Ceiling Ornamentation

Neoclassical ceiling ornamentation is the symmetrical decoration of a ceiling surface with classical elements such as cornices, ceiling roses and coving. A layered look is created by forming a cornice at the ceiling-to-wall transition, a rose at the centre of the ceiling, and panels where needed. When these decorative elements are made of polyurethane they are lightweight and applied directly to the ceiling with construction adhesive; they resist moisture and impact, do not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Being lightweight, they add no extra load to the ceiling, and installation is completed faster and with less waste than with plaster alternatives. Because they are mould-cast, the motif details repeat identically on every piece, which provides consistency in a symmetrical ceiling composition.
