Outer Column Base

An outer column base is the bottom plinth piece placed at the base of a polyurethane column where it faces the exterior facade or open area. It finishes the column shaft at the point where it meets the floor and acts as a base; it is used on outdoor facade, entrance, and canopy columns. Polyurethane is lightweight, resistant to moisture and outdoor weather, does not rot, crack, or warp, and can be painted; this makes it easier to handle outdoors than a stone or wooden base and quick to apply with assembly adhesive.
