Polyurethane Faux Wood Beam

A polyurethane faux wood beam is a polyurethane decorative ceiling beam with wood grain texture embossed on its surface that imitates a real wood beam. It is used in living room, kitchen, and attic ceilings to give a decorative wood beam appearance without being structural. It usually has a hollow U-shaped cross-section and is installed by fitting it over the existing ceiling or a concealed support. Polyurethane is much lighter than a real wood beam, resistant to moisture and impact, does not rot, attract insects, crack, and can be painted; unlike a solid beam it can be carried by one person and applies quickly with assembly adhesive.
