polyurethane lighting recess

A polyurethane lighting recess is a profile or niche element designed to leave a placement space inside for concealing a light strip or fixture. It is used on ceilings and walls in concealed lighting applications where the LED strip is hidden from view. The material is lightweight and bonds directly with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack, swell or warp, and takes paint well. Being lightweight makes installation easy; compared with plaster, the recess cross-section stays consistent across mass-produced pieces. When used with LEDs, its heat-resistant structure is a reason for preference. Because each piece is cast from a mould, the recess cross-section repeats identically across every unit. Polure produces lighting recesses in a range of sections and sizes.
