Polyurethane Beam Installation

Polyurethane beam installation is the process of fixing a decorative polyurethane beam to the ceiling with adhesive and battens. In application, wood battens or fixing points are first set on the ceiling, adhesive is spread on the inner surface of the beam, and the U-section profile is fitted over the battens and fixed with screws. The polyurethane material is light, so under-ceiling installation is easier and can usually be done with few people. The material resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and the joints can be filled and then painted. Being lighter than a real wood beam shortens labour and is not affected by moisture. Polure produces polyurethane beams in standard section sizes, making batten fit easier during installation.
