polyurethane niche

A polyurethane niche is a decorative element used to highlight a recess or framed section created in a wall. It is applied to frame the edge of areas holding a sculpture, vase, lighting or decorative object set into the wall. Polyurethane is lightweight and fixed directly to the surface with construction adhesive; it is resistant to moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than plaster equivalents makes installation easier and adds no extra load to the wall. Since it is mould-cast, the edge profile and ornamental details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces niche frames and ornamental elements in various size options.
