Polyurethane Window Crowns

Polyurethane window crowns are decorative polyurethane elements applied to the top edge of windows to crown them. Placed over the upper window surround, they give the window a distinct top accent on the facade. They are used on rows of windows to create a symmetrical order on classical and neoclassical facades. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is fixed directly to the facade with construction adhesive and screws. It resists moisture and outdoor weather conditions, does not crack or swell, and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Being lighter than its plaster or stone equivalents makes carrying and installation easier on tall facades. Since the crowns are mould-produced, the details repeat identically on every piece.
