polyurethane precast column
A polyurethane precast column is a decorative polyurethane column element cast in a mould for use on building facades and in interiors. It consists of a shaft, capital (column head) and base; it is used at entrances, halls, living rooms and facade corners to clad structural columns or for decorative purposes. The polyurethane material is lightweight, so it can be carried by one person and is fitted over the existing column with construction adhesive. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister and can be painted. Because it is far lighter than its concrete or stone equivalent, installation is fast and practical. Polure produces the precast column shaft in plain, fluted (grooved) and various diameters; the capital parts are produced in classical orders such as Doric, Ionic and Corinthian using moulds.
