Polyurethane Window Surround Applications

Polyurethane window surround applications refer to the various facade and interior arrangements in which polyurethane casing profiles are used around window and door openings. These applications include configurations such as a single-profile surround, a crowned surround, a keystone surround and a surround combined with a string course. They are used to accentuate the edges of openings and bring order to the facade. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall with adhesive and dowels; it resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. It is lighter and faster to install than stone or concrete. Because the profiles are cast in moulds, the surface and section detail stay consistent.
