Polyurethane Surround And String Course

A polyurethane surround and string course is an arrangement in which a casing that forms a vertical opening frame is used together with a string course profile that creates a horizontal band between storeys on the facade. While the surround frames the edges of windows and doors, the string course divides the facade horizontally and separates the floors; combined, they establish an ordered decorative scheme on the facade. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied with adhesive and dowels; it resists moisture, frost and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. It offers lower weight and faster installation than stone or concrete. Because the profiles are cast in moulds, the section and surface pattern stay consistent from piece to piece.
