polyurethane floor profile

A polyurethane floor profile is a skirting-shaped profile, made of polyurethane, applied where the floor meets the wall or at floor transitions. It is used to protect the base of the wall and neatly close the floor-wall transition. It is preferred on living room, hallway and corridor floors. The polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell and can be painted. Because it is moisture resistant, unlike a wooden skirting it is unaffected by floor cleaning and does not swell. As it is mould-cast, the cross-section profile stays the same on every piece and the joints connect neatly. Polure produces its polyurethane floor profiles in a range of heights and cross-sections.
