polyurethane column

A polyurethane column is the polyurethane equivalent of columns that provide a load-bearing or decorative look in classical architecture. It consists of a shaft, a capital and a base; it is used as a decorative element in entrances, living rooms, facades and transition areas. Stone or plaster columns are heavy and brittle and cause difficulty in handling and installation, whereas a polyurethane column is light and is applied with construction adhesive by sleeving it over an existing structural column. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, does not blister and can be painted. Because it is mould-produced, the shaft fluting and capital details repeat identically on every piece.
