Precast building decorative elements are prefabricated decorative building components used on building facades; they classically refer to concrete-based cast pieces such as surrounds, cornices, columns and sills. They are used to frame windows and doors on the facade and to define floor transitions and facade lines. Polure produces the polyurethane equivalent of these elements: polyurethane surrounds and cornices are far lighter than precast concrete pieces, add no extra load to the facade and are easily applied on scaffolding with mounting adhesive. They resist moisture, frost and outdoor weather conditions, do not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior wall paint.
