precast surround set

A precast surround set is a set of surround elements, supplied together, that wrap around an opening. It covers using together the parts that clad the side, top and, if needed, bottom edges of the opening. While traditional precast surround sets are cement-based, the polyurethane set achieves the same look in a lightweight material. The parts are cast in factory moulds, mitred at the corners and applied with mounting adhesive. Polyurethane is lightweight, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Mould production ensures all parts in the set share the same cross-section and dimensions, forming a neat frame around the opening.
