A feature wall composition, in decoration, is a decorative layout built with polyurethane profiles and motifs that creates a visual focal point in a space. It is mostly formed by combining elements such as surrounds, cornices and ceiling roses to frame and emphasise a specific part of a wall or ceiling. Polyurethane elements are lightweight, fixed directly with construction adhesive, and the layout is built by bringing different pieces together. They resist moisture and impact, do not crack or swell, and can be painted. Compared with a plaster or timber equivalent, they are unaffected by damp and install quickly. Because they are mould-cast, each piece repeats the same profile and stays consistent within the layout.
