A ceiling dome is a polyurethane decorative element in a concave dome form applied to the ceiling surface. It is used on living room, hall and dining room ceilings to create depth and to focus chandeliers and lighting. The polyurethane dome is lightweight and applied directly to the ceiling with construction adhesive and, where needed, screws; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Because it is mould-cast, the inner surface and edge details repeat identically on every piece.
