floor profile

A floor profile is a long, plain-section polyurethane profile used on the floor surface for transitions, borders or skirting. It is applied to tidy the joint line of different floor coverings, to close the wall-floor junction and to create a decorative strip at floor level. Indoors it is used at transition points and along the base of walls. The polyurethane material is light and applied with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or peel, and can be painted. Being unaffected by moisture, unlike its wooden equivalent, gives it an advantage in wet areas. Because it is mould-produced, the profile section stays the same along its length.
