Rigid polyurethane panels are manufactured using a closed-cell structure that delivers exceptional dimensional stability and moisture resistance. The material features a density ranging from 150 to 220 kg/m³, with a standard production target of approximately 160 kg/m³. This high density provides impact resistance during international transit and handling across European job sites.
With a water absorption rate below 1 percent, these panels prevent moisture ingress, making them suitable for high-humidity interiors and exterior facades. The operational temperature tolerance spans from -100 to +80 °C, ensuring the material remains stable without warping or cracking under extreme environmental fluctuations.
Selecting Panel Profiles for European Standards
Choosing the correct panel scale depends on ceiling height, wall surface area, and transport logistics. When specifying wall cladding for European residential or commercial projects, packaging dimensions must align with standard freight units to prevent transit damage. Larger panel cross-sections add visual depth in high-ceiling spaces, while thinner profiles suit compact interior layouts.

Surface Preparation and Waste Calculations
Substrate preparation directly impacts adhesive bonding. Wall surfaces must be completely clean, dry, structural, and free from dust, grease, or loose plaster. Moisture content in the wall should be verified before mounting.
To calculate the required quantity, measure the total surface area in square meters. Add a material buffer of 10 to 15 percent to account for 45-degree miter cuts, corner joinery, and perimeter trimming. Accurate preliminary calculations reduce freight costs and project delays.
Installation Sequence and Fixing Requirements
Systematic mounting guarantees seamless wall alignment. Panels must be cut accurately using a fine-toothed saw at 45-degree angles for corner transitions. Application of a dedicated polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive along the back contact surfaces is mandatory. The use of standard silicone adhesives is strictly prohibited due to inadequate long-term shear strength.
In addition to chemical adhesive bonding, mechanical fixing with screws is mandatory. Screws secure the panel while the adhesive cures fully, ensuring resistance against thermal movement and settling.
Sanding, Joint Filling, and Coating Applications
After the polyurethane adhesive cures, mechanical fasteners should be countersunk slightly below the surface. Fill screw holes and panel seams with an appropriate exterior-grade joint filler. Once dry, smooth all filled areas using grana 180-220 sandpaper to achieve a uniform finish.
Panels are delivered with a factory-applied primer. Applying an additional layer of primer over sanded seams is optional but recommended for optimal paint adhesion. For exterior installations, applying UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent discolouration and surface degradation from solar radiation. Finish with two full topcoats of quality paint.
