Unlike expanded polystyrene (EPS) materials that easily dent or puncture under physical impact, solid high-density polyurethane exhibits exceptional resistance to direct mechanical forces. Decorative columns manufactured from this rigid material are strictly non-structural and must never be utilized to bear physical loads.
Thermal Resistance and B2 Fire Safety Classifications
Polure architectural profiles operate without structural degradation across an extreme operating temperature range of -100 °C / +80 °C. Fire safety compliance is achieved through phosphorus-based flame retardants integrated into the rigid polymer matrix, qualifying the final product for a B2 flame-retardant rating. Water Absorption, Emissions, and Environmental Standards

Fully cured finished products are chemically inert and emit no volatile organic compounds (VOCs), maintaining clean indoor air quality. Manufactured using ozone-friendly formulations, any sanding dust generated during site trimming is non-toxic and classified as standard household waste.
Surface Priming and Exterior Protection Requirements
Polyurethane profiles are supplied pre-primed from the factory, making additional primer coats optional depending on the specific paint formulation selected. However, when installed on exterior facades across different climate zones, applying a UV-resistant topcoat paint is mandatory to prevent surface yellowing and degradation from solar exposure. Protective packaging protocols ensure the factory primer remains intact during international logistics.
Installation Standards and Mechanical Fixing Rules
Correct installation requires completely clean, dry substrate surfaces and precise 45-degree miter cuts at joints. Mechanical fixing using stainless steel screws is mandatory alongside specialized polyurethane (PU) assembly adhesives. Standard silicone sealants are strictly prohibited because they do not provide the necessary structural bond strength. Post-mounting steps require filling joints with suitable putty, sanding with grana 180-220 sandpaper, applying an optional primer, and finishing with 2 coats of quality paint.
