Furthermore, their closed-cell cellular structure guarantees a water absorption rate of less than 1%, rendering them virtually impervious to humidity, rot, and pest infestations.

However, because paint formulations vary, paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee adhesion unless their proprietary primers are used on the substrate. Therefore, applying an additional primer layer prior to final painting is optional and remains the sole decision of the customer. For exterior applications, applying a high-quality, UV-resistant paint is mandatory to prevent the unpainted polymer from yellowing under direct sunlight.

Installation
Installing our lightweight beam covers is straightforward when following these technical steps: 1) Surface Preparation: Ensure the ceiling or wall mounting surface is clean, dry, and free of dust. 2) Miter Cutting: Execute clean 45-degree miter cuts using a standard miter saw or fine-toothed hand saw. 3) Adhesive Application: Apply polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive along all contact edges of the profile. Do not use silicone adhesives, as they do not provide the necessary chemical bond. 4) Mechanical Securing: Screw-fastening is mandatory to secure the beam covers mechanically to the ceiling substrate or internal wooden blocks. 5) Jointing & Sanding: Fill all screw holes and joints with appropriate putty, then sand smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper once dry. 6) Painting: Clean the sanded areas, apply an optional additional primer if required by your paint manufacturer, and apply two coats of water-based or synthetic paint.
Care Information
Our high-density beam covers require minimal maintenance over their lifespan. For routine cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical solvents, acids, or abrasive cleaning tools that could damage the painted finish. Thanks to the durable polymer core, these covers offer a service life exceeding 20-30 years in indoor conditions. In the event of accidental impact, the surface can be easily repaired using standard acrylic putty, sanded, and spot-painted to restore its original appearance.
