Surface Finishes and Coating Regulations
Every profile in our collection is delivered with a factory-applied primer (primer) that prepares the surface for the final finish, facilitating excellent paint adhesion. Both water-based and synthetic paints are compatible with our products. However, please note that paint manufacturers typically do not guarantee paint adhesion on surfaces coated without their own proprietary primers. Therefore, applying an additional primer layer prior to final painting is optional and remains at the sole discretion of the client. Polure does not provide paint warranties and accepts no liability for third-party coating applications. For exterior applications, the use of high-quality UV-resistant paint is mandatory, as unpainted polyurethane can yellow when exposed to direct sunlight over time.

For all outdoor installations, applying a UV-resistant topcoat is required to prevent discoloration from solar exposure, while joint and screw locations must be sealed with exterior-grade filler.
Installation
A professional installation of Kapı Söveleri ensures long-term structural stability and seamless aesthetics. Begin by verifying that the application surface is clean, completely dry, and structurally sound. Measure the door opening carefully and perform high-precision 45-degree miter cuts at the corner joints using a fine-toothed miter saw. Apply a generous amount of poliüretan (PU) montaj yapıştırıcısı to the mounting channels on the back of the profile; do not use silicone adhesives. For safety and permanent positioning, mechanical fixing with screws is mandatory. Once secured, fill all joint lines and screw heads with high-quality exterior putty. After the putty dries, sand the surfaces smooth using 180-220 grit sandpaper. Apply an optional primer coat if desired, and finish with two coats of high-quality UV-resistant paint.
Care Information
Thanks to their closed-cell structure and high-density formulation, Kapı Söveleri require minimal maintenance over their extensive lifespan. For regular cleaning, wiping with a soft, damp cloth is sufficient to remove surface dust. Avoid using abrasive scrubbing pads or aggressive chemical solvents that could degrade the paint layer. If minor surface impact occurs over decades of use, the affected areas can be easily repaired with standard joint putty, sanded smooth with 180-220 grit sandpaper, and repainted to restore their original appearance.
