Modern Polyurethane Indirect Lighting Cornice Profile

The P81373 is a professional-grade indirect lighting cornice designed to integrate seamless LED illumination into modern architectural spaces. This profile bridges the wall and ceiling junction, creating an elegant hollow space that conceals LED strips while casting a soft, glare-free ambient glow upward. Ideal for contemporary residential projects, premium offices, and hospitality venues, it offers an effective way to introduce warm, diffuse lighting without bulky dropped ceiling structures.

Manufactured from high-density rigid polymer with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, this lighting profile delivers the structural hardness of traditional wood but with significantly lower weight. Measuring 50 mm in depth, 2400 mm in length, and 80 mm in height, the profile exhibits exceptional dimensional stability. It does not warp, shrink, or expand under varying environmental conditions. With dimensional stability tested between -20 °C and +70 °C and low water absorption (below 1%), it remains resistant to humidity, mold, or rot.

Visually, the P81373 features a smooth, minimalistic outward curve that blends effortlessly with modern, Scandinavian, or minimalist interior aesthetics. The continuous, unadorned surface acts as a reflector, ensuring that light is dispersed evenly across the ceiling without hot spots or dark gaps. Its geometric profile allows for a clean transition, masking any minor structural irregularities along the wall-ceiling line.

This versatile profile is highly suited for diverse applications, including living room perimeters, hotel lobby bulkheads, bedroom headboard accents, and commercial corridors. Due to its superior moisture resistance, it can also be safely installed in wellness areas, spas, and high-humidity residential bathrooms where traditional plaster or MDF alternatives would inevitably fail or crack over time.

Installation is straightforward and efficient. The lightweight segments are cut using standard miter saws and adhered to clean, dry surfaces using high-performance polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive combined with mechanical fasteners for secure positioning. Joints and screw heads are easily filled with acrylic filler, sanded flat, and finished with paint. The profile arrives with a factory-applied primer coat that prepares the surface; however, please note that while this primer facilitates coating, some paint manufacturers require their proprietary primers for full warranty coverage.
