Illuminated Column

An illuminated column is a polyurethane decorative column into whose body or capital a lighting element can be placed. It is used indoors and outdoors as both a vertical decorative element and an indirect light source. Polyurethane is lightweight, so it is easy to install and adds no extra load to the floor or wall. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel, and can be painted. Being lighter than a concrete or stone column it is practical to transport and position. Being mould-cast, the fluting and relief detail repeat with the same clarity on every piece. Polure produces illuminated columns in a range of heights and diameters.
