boiserie
Boiserie is a classic wall decoration method in which frame and panel patterns are formed on the wall surface using mouldings and profiles. Traditionally done with wood panelling, this technique is applied more lightly and economically with polyurethane mouldings. By creating rectangular and square panel sections on the wall, it adds depth to living room, hallway and bedroom walls. Polyurethane is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, will not crack or blister and can be painted the same colour as the wall. Thanks to its lighter, moisture-proof structure compared with wood, installation is quick. Since it is mould-cast, the moulding profile repeats identically on every piece. Polure produces mouldings and corner parts suitable for boiserie applications in a range of profiles.
