A paintable panel column is a polyurethane decorative element produced with a paint-accepting surface, used together with a panel system to give the wall the look of a half-column. It is used in living rooms, entrance halls and wall panelling to create a vertical accent and a classic architectural effect. The polyurethane material is lightweight and is applied directly to the wall with assembly adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted any colour. It is lighter than a plaster column, requires no support and installs quickly; unlike wood it is unaffected by moisture. Because it is mould-cast, the shaft flutes and capital details stay the same on every piece. When applied together with panels and mouldings, it provides a cohesive architectural look on the wall.
