A decorative appliqué is a relief-look polyurethane ornamental piece added to the wall surface. It is used to add movement to flat walls and to accent door and lighting surrounds in living rooms, hallways and entrance areas. The polyurethane material is lightweight and fixes directly to the wall with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell, or warp, and can be painted. It is lighter than a plaster relief equivalent and quick to install; the application requires no dust or mould labour. As it is mould-cast, the relief details come out the same on every piece.
