Decorative Facade Pediment

A decorative facade pediment is a polyurethane ornamental element placed above a door or window, usually in a triangular or curved form. It is used to emphasise entrance and window openings on the facade and to create a classic architectural line. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is applied to the facade with mounting adhesive and dowels and adds no extra load to the load-bearing wall. It resists moisture, rain and sun, does not crack or swell and can be painted with exterior facade paint. It is lighter than stone or concrete, installs faster and does not break in transport.
