It is used to add pattern, framing or a focal point to an empty wall area. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applies directly with construction adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or warp, and can be painted. Being lighter than its plaster and wood equivalents, alignment and installation are easy. Since it is cast in a mould, the ornamental details repeat identically on every piece.
