Decorative arch design is the planning of a polyurethane arch to be applied to a passage opening in terms of curve, profile and pattern. The design determines the arch form and ornamental detail according to the passage width, ceiling height and the style of the space. Polyurethane is lightweight and the chosen design is applied with mounting adhesive; curved and patterned forms can be mould-cast. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and is unaffected by humidity unlike wood. The surface can be painted over primer.
