A decorative polyurethane log is a polyurethane decoration element that imitates the appearance of a natural tree log. In interiors it is used where a rustic and natural look is desired, such as shelves, side tables, ceiling beams, or wall accents. Polyurethane is lightweight; unlike real wood it is unaffected by moisture, does not rot or attract insects, and is applied with construction adhesive or screws. It resists moisture and impact, does not crack or blister, and can be painted; the wood grain is rendered as relief on the surface.
