An exterior facade column capital is the polyurethane piece at the top of a decorative column, between the body and the eave. It completes the column at the top and emphasises the transition from the body to the roof or beam; it can be in different classical forms such as Doric, Ionic or Corinthian. It is used above the columns at entrances, balconies and between windows on the facade. The polyurethane material is lightweight and fixed to the body and the upper surface with mounting adhesive. It resists moisture, sun and temperature swings; it does not crack or blister and can be painted with exterior facade paint. Because it is mould-cast, the capital diameter is compatible with the column body and the ornamental details repeat on every piece.
