A column stands independently from the facade as a structural or decorative element, while a pilaster is attached to the wall and gives the surface rhythm and depth. Polyurethane columns and pilasters are lightweight and applied with construction adhesive; they resist moisture, rain and outdoor weather, do not crack or blister, and can be painted with exterior facade paint.
