doric and ionic capital

A doric ionic capital is a group of polyurethane decorative elements covering the column capitals of the classical Doric and Ionic orders. The Doric capital has a plain, geometric form, while the Ionic capital carries a curled volute (scroll) detail on each side. It is fitted to the top end of the column shaft to complete the capital and emphasise the classical order. Polyurethane is lightweight and resistant to moisture and impact; it will not crack, blister and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone or plaster, it is easily fixed to the top of the column with construction adhesive. Since it is moulded, the volute and profile details repeat identically on every piece.
