P5015I is a decorative Ionic capital designed for the upper section of a pilaster column. Measuring 21 x 21 x 15 cm in width, depth and height, the element creates a defined transition between the pilaster shaft and the surrounding architectural composition. Its molded decorative surface gives classical interiors and facades a more structured finish without turning the column detail into a structural component.
The P5015I pilaster capital is listed as paintable, water-resistant and suitable for both indoor and outdoor decoration. The supplied product record does not confirm a material grade, density or specific technical classification; The decorative element should be evaluated together with the substrate, the intended exposure and the selected coating system before installation.
The 21 x 21 cm footprint suits pilaster proportions that need a compact but clearly visible upper detail, while the 15 cm projection provides a noticeable transition around door surrounds, wall pilasters and facade compositions. The molded face is intended to be integrated with the lines of the pilaster below it. It can be painted to coordinate with the wall, column shaft, trim or facade colour, allowing the same capital to support contrasting, monochrome or two-tone schemes.
Inside, the P5015I can finish pilasters in entrance halls, living rooms, dining areas, hotel lobbies, restaurants and formal office interiors. It is also appropriate for framing a doorway or giving a built-in wall composition a classical upper termination. Outdoors, it may be used on villa facades, covered entrances and commercial elevations when the complete paint and sealing system is selected for exterior exposure. The product is decorative and must not be specified as a load-bearing element.
For installation, prepare a clean, dry and sound surface, check the alignment of the capital against the pilaster and make any required cuts with suitable tools. Apply a polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive compatible with the substrate, then use mechanical fixing or temporary support where project conditions require it. Fill joints and fixing points with a suitable compound, sand carefully, apply the selected primer system and finish with paint. Compared with plaster, the element can simplify decorative detailing; unlike untreated wood, it does not rely on a timber surface for its appearance. Because the listed material is unspecified, the final adhesive, coating and fixing decision should follow the approved project specification.
- P5015I is intended for the upper section of pilaster columns, where a compact Ionic capital detail can define the end of the vertical profile
- In a living room or entrance hall, place it above wall pilasters framing a doorway, fireplace surround or recessed display area
- In a hotel lobby, restaurant or office reception, the capital can give paired pilasters a coordinated architectural finish without occupying excessive wall depth
- For bedroom interiors, it can be used around a decorative niche or a feature wall with classical detailing
- Outdoors, the product is suitable for villa entrances, covered porches, facade pilasters and commercial elevations when finished with an exterior-suitable paint system
- Use matching capitals on symmetrical pilasters and coordinate the paint colour with the surrounding trim
- Since the element is decorative rather than structural, the underlying wall, column or facade construction must provide the necessary support
- Confirm the position and orientation of the P5015I against the pilaster before bonding
- The substrate must be clean, dry, stable and free from loose dust, grease or flaking coatings
- Check the 21 x 21 cm footprint and 15 cm projection against the surrounding profiles, then mark the installation line
- Apply a polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive suitable for the substrate and press the capital into place without forcing it out of alignment
- Use mechanical fixing or temporary support when required by the project conditions, particularly on exterior applications or where the connection is exposed to movement
- Fill visible joints and fixing points with a compatible compound, allow the surface system to settle according to the product instructions, then sand, prime and paint
- Do not use silicone as the mounting adhesive
- Clean the P5015I with a soft, non-abrasive cloth and, when needed, a mild cleaning solution compatible with the paint system
- Avoid hard brushes, abrasive pads, solvents and aggressive chemicals, as these can mark the molded surface or damage the finish
- Inspect exterior applications periodically for coating wear, open joints or exposed fixing points
- Any repainting should follow the preparation and compatibility requirements of the selected paint manufacturer
- The material classification and density are not specified in the supplied product data, so maintenance decisions should also consider the installed coating and exposure conditions
Can P5015I be used on an exterior facade?
Yes. P5015I is listed for outdoor as well as indoor decorative use and can be applied to villa facades, covered entrances and commercial elevations. Exterior use requires a sound substrate, suitable fixing, sealed joints and a paint system selected for the exposure conditions. The product is a decorative pilaster capital, not a structural component. Because the supplied material field is unspecified, the installer should confirm adhesive, primer and coating compatibility for the specific project before application.
How is the pilaster capital installed and painted?
Prepare a clean, dry and stable surface, then align the 21 x 21 x 15 cm capital with the pilaster below it. Bond it with a polyurethane (PU) mounting adhesive suitable for the substrate and add mechanical fixing or temporary support where project conditions require it. Fill joints and fixing points, sand the repaired areas and apply the selected primer and paint system. Silicone must not be used as the mounting adhesive.
What are the dimensions of the P5015I capital?
The P5015I measures 21 x 21 x 15 cm, stated as width x depth x height. Its 21 cm footprint is suited to compact pilaster compositions, while the 15 cm projection provides a visible upper transition without creating an oversized profile. Before ordering or installing, compare these dimensions with the pilaster shaft, adjacent trim and available wall or facade space. The capital should be treated as a decorative element with its own connection requirements.
Is P5015I a load-bearing column component?
No. P5015I is a decorative Ionic capital for finishing a pilaster column and must not be specified as a load-bearing or structural element. It may be installed over a properly prepared existing wall, column or pilaster construction, but the underlying structure must carry any architectural loads. Adhesive selection, mechanical support and fixing details should be assessed according to the substrate, orientation, exposure and project conditions.
Can the P5015I surface be painted in a custom colour?
Yes. P5015I is listed as paintable, so it can be coordinated with the pilaster, wall, ceiling, trim or facade colour. Prepare filled joints and fixing points before painting, then follow the selected paint manufacturer's requirements for primer and topcoat compatibility. The product record does not specify a fixed colour or a confirmed material grade, so the final coating system should be tested or approved for the intended indoor or outdoor application.
