Illuminated antique column decor refers to decorative applications in which polyurethane elements in a classic (antique) column form are used together with concealed LED lighting. Concealed light placed around the shaft, base or capital of the column highlights the column surface; it is used as a decorative focal point in entrance halls, living rooms and store interiors. The column elements are mould-cast from polyurethane; the material is light, resists moisture and impact, will not crack or blister, and can be painted. It applies with mounting adhesive and installs faster than a stone equivalent. The lighting is provided by a channel recessed into the column surface or by a concealed strip around it.
