The ionic pilaster capital is a polyurethane capital element with volute ornaments, used on top of half-embedded ionic pilasters. A pilaster is a flat column-like element that projects slightly from the wall; this capital forms its upper section. It is used as a classic accent on facades and interior walls. Polyurethane is lightweight; it is applied with mounting adhesive, resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted. Being lighter than its plaster equivalent makes installation easier. Because it is mould-cast, the volute curves repeat identically on every piece.
