Polyurethane Ionic Pilaster Capital Column Head

The P5018C is a classic Ionic style pilaster capital designed to crown flat wall columns. It brings ancient architectural symmetry to modern projects. Made from a high-density rigid polymer, it serves as a lightweight yet durable structural embellishment for luxury interiors and exterior facades alike.

Measuring 260 mm in width, 82 mm in height, and projecting 64 mm from the wall surface, this capital is perfectly proportioned for medium-scale pilasters. Engineered with a density of 150-220 kg/m³, it matches the physical hardness of wood but avoids the extreme weight of traditional plaster or stone. With its closed-cell composition, the material has a water absorption rate under 1% and its dimensional stability has been tested between -20 °C and +70 °C, preventing warping, rotting, or cracking over time.

Visually, the capital features detailed symmetrical scroll volutes on either side, complemented by a delicate relief pattern along the lower collar. The crisp, three-dimensional carvings mimic traditional hand-sculpted masonry. Delivered with a factory-applied primer, the surface is ready for custom painting to match any design palette.

Highly versatile, this Ionic capital is ideal for framing grand entrances, defining fireplace mantels, or decorating pilasters in hotel lobbies, upscale restaurants, and residential salons. When painted with UV-resistant coatings, it can be safely used on exterior facades, villa entrances, and porticos to create a classic neomediterranean look.

Installing this lightweight element is significantly faster than heavy gypsum or marble alternatives. The process involves securing it to a clean surface using a specialized adhesive, supplemented with mechanical screws for permanent stability. Since it does not rot or attract pests like wood, and won't shatter like plaster, it offers a low-maintenance, long-lasting decorative solution.
