Classic Battening

Classic battening is the process of dividing and framing wall and ceiling surfaces with slim battens in panel, frame and coffer form. The battens are applied at regular intervals to create panel areas, frames and ceiling coffers on the surface. Polyurethane battening is lightweight; it adds no extra load to the surface and is fixed directly to the wall or ceiling with construction adhesive. The material resists moisture and impact, does not crack, blister or peel and can be painted. Compared with timber alternatives, it does not absorb moisture or swell and installs quickly.
