classic niche
A classic niche is a decorative element where a recess or raised frame created in a wall is dressed with classic-style polyurethane profiles. It is used to highlight and frame the sections of a wall where an object, vase or light fitting is placed. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied straight with mounting adhesive; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack or swell, and can be painted any colour. Compared with a plaster equivalent it is lighter and faster to fit. Because it is mould-produced, the profile details repeat identically on every piece. Polure produces classic niche frames and profiles in a range of sizes.
