Corinthian column capital

A Corinthian column capital is a Corinthian-order capital element with acanthus leaf carving, seated on the upper end of the column shaft. As the transition piece connecting the shaft to the ceiling or beam, it forms the most prominent detail of the classical architectural column. It is placed on the end of the shaft and fixed with construction adhesive. The polyurethane material is lightweight and applied directly; it resists moisture and impact, does not crack, swell or warp, and can be painted. Being far lighter than stone and plaster capitals, it can be installed by one person and adds no extra load to the column.
